On Sunday 19th June, the English Language, Culture and Communication Department held a charity walk to raise funds for the victims of the recent earthquake and tsunami.
Participants gathered at 10 o’clock at Fujisawa station before setting off on the five-kilometre course along the banks of the Sakai River to Enoshima. After lunch at the Green North Park, the participants headed back to Fujisawa station along the same course.
The weather remained dry allowing all eighty-six participants to complete the course successfully.
Those who took part in this event are asked to hand in all sponsorship money at their earliest convenience,so that it can be donated to the Japan Red Cross Society. The total amount collected will be announced at a later date.
